You may have arrived here because your child is struggling with one or more of the following:

• Defiance
• Tantrums
• Following Directions
• Aggressive Behaviors
• Parent-Child Relationship

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a proven therapeutic approach designed to enhance the relationship between parents and their young children while addressing behavioral challenges. This evidence-based treatment focuses on improving the quality of the parent-child bond, increasing positive behaviors, and reducing problematic behaviors in children aged 2 to 7 years.

Benefits of PCIT

• Strengthens the parent-child bond
• Reduces disruptive and aggressive behaviors
• Increases positive behaviors and cooperation
• Improves communication and listening skills
• Empowers parents with effective discipline strategies
• Boosts the child’s social skills and emotional regulation

PCIT typically involves weekly sessions over the course of 12 to 20 weeks. Each session lasts about an hour and takes place in a therapeutic setting equipped with an observation room and “bug-in-the-ear” equipment. This setup allows the psychologist to coach parents in real-time, providing immediate feedback and guidance as you interact with your child.
